summer silk flowers

Summer has arrived in South Africa and the air is filled with humidity, with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius! Despite the heat, the blooms are showing off this summer with flowers boasting in all different bright colours, some examples being the Amaryllis; Arum Lily; Snapdragons; and Bird of Paradise. These gorgeous summer colours and summer flowers have also influenced the fashion and interior decor worlds. With statement shades, such as hot pink, watermelon green, turquoise, bright yellows and oranges showing up all over the magazine spreads. The colour blocking trend is also a must, with featuring large areas of a single flat colour on a garment or on a single wall, creating the feature wall in a home.

We have some summer silk flowers and summer artificial plants, that we think would be great to decorate your home. Some examples being the silk hibiscus; silk proteas; silk pincushion flowers; purple silk orchids; silk alpine spray; silk flame lily; silk vanda orchid sprays; silk amaryllis; silk dahlia; silk peonies; silk anthurium; artificial delicious monsters and various artificial palm leaves.

We have some floral decor suggestions for your spaces this summer and some hints and ideas as to which items will give your space that summer feel and a much needed splash of colour.

Artificial Flowers for your kitchen – A place where the principle of “less is more”, is favoured, since lots of space is needed for cooking and preparing meals. It’s a room in the home that is best, free from clutter and airy for hygienic purposes. Never the less, you can still spice up this space with some bright silk blooms or an artificial plant or two, provided it is out of harm’s way.

Artificial Flowers for your lounge – It is the room in the home, where one relaxes after a days’ work, a place where conversations are made with family and friends and a place where one can put up their feet and enjoy a good book. It is a special room in any home, more often than not, the style that has been used in this room sets the scene for the rest of the home.

Artificial Flowers for your dining room –  A room in the home, where families come together to share meals and friendly conversations. Where one dines with friends and family for special occasions and where children learn their all-important table manners! Add a splash of colour to the room by changing the chair set covers. Green foliage printed cushions are the rage at the moment, pair with a silk floral arrangement and you have livened up a once dull room in your home. If you want to keep it simple and minimalist, place a few artificial delicious monster leaves in a glass vase and place in the centre of your table.

Artificial flowers for your Bathroom: A room in the home that is private and much like the kitchen, is best when it is free from clutter and airy for hygienic purposes. With this in mind, you can still add a splash of colour by placing a small arrangement on your window sill, on the side of the bath or place on your basin.
