5 tips for cleaning your artificial office plants

• Dust plants regularly

Vinegar is able to cut through dirt easier than water, so get a really deep clean by carefully spraying your plant with vinegar and then wiping it dry with a cloth.

• The hairspray method

Need to clean your artificial office plants in a hurry before the office photo shoot? If you’re time-strapped when trying to clean your plants, consider the hairspray method. Use a tin of hairspray to spray your dirty plant down. The compressed air will blast away any obvious dust and dirt particles, while leaving your plant with that just-been-cleaned sheen.

When done well, it is often hard to tell the difference between live plants and artificial at first glance, and it is only upon closer inspection that one can see the true state of affairs. These plants most often go unnoticed.

Gelato colours – they are a huge rage! The subtle pastel shades are sure to make you smile and instantly feel at ease. Here are a few colorful ways to get reacquainted with pastels in your modern interiors. Pastel shades are a great way to transform a boring coloured kitchen into an inspiring one. Place a silk mixed peony arrangement in your kitchen, pair it with some soft pastel kitchen curtains, some beautiful pastel dishcloths and some funky pastel appliances and your kitchen will be the like stepping into a scene of 50’s diner! Oh so retro!

Place a silk dark peach rose arrangement in a plain white dining room, paired with subtle peach tones scattered through out the room. A pair of soft peach scatter pillows, paired with a soft peach rug, and some cream or white candles. These relaxed tones are so easy on the eye and make you want to escape from the world in.

What is a Pantone?

When we speak of a Pantone in the design world we are referring to a colour that is a proprietary colour space used in a variety of industries, primarily printing, though sometimes in the manufacture of coloured paint, fabric, & plastics. Pantone, an X-Rite company & the global authority on colour & provider of professional colour standards for the designs industries announced that the new colour of the year, for 2017 is Pantone 15-0343 Greenery. It is a refreshing & revitalizing shade, symbolic of new beginnings. Greenery is a fresh & zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore & renew. Greenery reminds one of flourishing foliage, signals lushness of the great outdoors & encourages one to take a deep breath, oxygenate & reinvigorate.
